My daughter loved her bead frame (where you move coloured beads around twirly wires) at that age; very good for motor skills. Your baby will probably be too little for a month or two but she’ll enjoy watching you move the beads around for her while she watches.

Anything bright colored (and safe). Rattles, squishy blocks, things that squeak and buzz are always a hit.

like little plastic blocks, and toys that they can hold in their hands. then there are little play toys that you can lay them under so that they can hit their feet on or they have little toys that hang down so that they can can hit or grab them. it’s so fun to watch them try.

Hey, I’m in the same boat, my son will be just gone eight months at christmas.
I have just bought him an activity centre, which keeps him very occupied, they start from 4 months that could be an option, also there are plenty of play mats ect,
How about the 3 in one chair, it swings becomes a bouncer and also a chair,
Have a good look through toy stores etc, you’l be fine, saying that I still havn,t figured what I’M going to get him either
    Good Luck.

In the U.S. on the web, Toys R Us (toysrus.com) has a lot of learning toys. Also, Fisher Price’s website (fisher-price.com)has it broken down by age group, from infant to teen. Gosh, there are a whole bunch of other web sites for further suggestions: littlesmarties, wonderbrains, leapfrog, learningexpress (all of those are dot coms). Good luck!

my son loved his Kaloo toys. We had purchased a couple of them at. They are so bright and soft and upscale even my wife was noticed to adore them when she thought I was not watching :-) You cant go wrong about Kaloo. They are the best!
